The Role
The Junior FP&A will play a critical role in driving business growth and optimising profitability through comprehensive data analysis and strategic insights. This individual will report into our Head of FP&A, and supporting delivery of sound business reporting, help to evaluate financial performance, and support commercial decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Performance Evaluation: Analyse financial data, including sales, revenue, costs, and margins, to assess the overall performance of the company's commercial activities.
* Data Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to senior management.
* Strategic Planning: Support the development and execution of commercial strategies by providing data-driven recommendations and forecasts.
* Pricing Analysis: Evaluate pricing strategies and models to ensure competitiveness and profitability and recommend adjustments as needed.
* Sales Performance Analysis: Analyse sales data to identify patterns, strengths, and areas for improvement, and collaborate with the sales team to optimize performance.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market conditions.
* Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek out opportunities to improve processes, methodologies, and tools used in commercial analysis.
Key Competencies:
* Ability to produce high quality reports
* High level knowledge of Microsoft office
* Excellent communication skills, specifically an ability to translate and present complex information in simple and understandable terms.
* Proven experience in data analysis and visualisation
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Awareness of business operations and strategies, including pricing, sales, and marketing
* Ability to think strategically, aligning analytical work with business objectives and long-term goals
