We are thrilled to introduce our National Teaching Assistant Programme in partnership with schools in our local communities, tailored to support individuals aspiring to embark on a career as a Teaching Assistant.
The Programme Aligned with our client schools, we offer successful Trainee Teaching Assistants top-notch training and paid on-the-job experience. Upon a successful interview and completion of suitability, safeguarding, and identity checks, we endeavor to secure a paid placement in a school to further enhance your skills. Whether your preference lies in primary, secondary, or SEND provisions, we provide ongoing support throughout your journey, including guidance from a dedicated consultant.
Before commencing your placement, you will undergo a comprehensive training program delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders, equipping you with the essential skills requisite for the role of a Teaching Assistant.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of schools. Effective communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with both students and staff are paramount. Responsibilities may encompass collaborating with the class teacher to manage behavior, providing support with interventions, and offering additional assistance to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Additionally, you will aid in recording and reporting pupil progress and behavior, ensuring children are making notable strides in the classroom.
Requirements for the National Teaching Assistant Programme include:

6. Ability to articulate reasons for pursuing a career in education during the interview process, demonstrating comprehension of the Teaching Assistant role and its significance within the school community.
7. Commitment to completing requisite training and engaging in ongoing CPD.
8. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and enrollment in the Update Service.
