At iRG, we are passionate about customer service and endeavor to make the customer's journey as smooth as possible. We are looking for a full-time parts advisor who will play a significant role in this process. As part of the role, you will ensure the parts department remains efficient, contributing to the smooth running of the site. You will maintain effective liaison with various other departments within the business and be approachable for all customers and suppliers to assist with queries. You will update and notify the site manager regarding inventory control and maintain up-to-date knowledge of new or updated parts. Documentation will be a large part of the role, and all paperwork and parts requisitions need to be completed accurately. The parts department will be your responsibility, and it will need to be kept tidy at all times. It’s vital that all incoming deliveries are checked and placed in the correct locations, kept securely and in good condition, and any discrepancies should be reported to the line manager. During your career, we will offer you relevant training and encourage progression. Most of our senior team began their careers in the workshop and worked their way up.
Objectives
* Ensure parts bulletins, lists, and catalogues are read and stored.
* Remain aware of seasonal requirements and of parts needed in the event of a recall or special offer in the Parts Department.
* Attend training courses to develop job-related knowledge.
* Maintain stock control and guard against any unauthorized removal of parts stock.
* Ensure that a receipt, payment, or authorized signature is obtained for all parts stock issued.
* Source the availability of additional parts from the retailer.
* Ensure the correct recycling of all disposed and damaged items in line with environmental regulations.
* Adhere to all Health and Safety and Company policies and procedures.
* Ensure all Manufacturer Approvals and Industry Standards BS 10125 etc. procedures pertaining to recycling/exchange units are adhered to.
About You
* Friendly and professional at all times.
* Experience in previous parts roles is preferred, although full training will be provided for our systems and product knowledge.
* Punctuality and organization are essential.
* Ability to detect and solve potential problems.
* Be a team player with fellow colleagues.
* A driver's license is preferred but not essential.
