Where will you be working?
At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

You’ll be joining our central Commercial Team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor. We also deliver specialist civil engineering for the private and public sectors across the UK as a major supplier of specialist highway electrical services. Our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.
What will you be doing?
1. Managing the contract commercial team including line management and personal development plans.
2. Reviewing proposed terms and conditions and negotiating contracts with clients and the supply chain.
3. Liaising with the customer, their representatives, and other 3rd parties on commercial issues, including the agreement of additional monies.
4. Focusing on cost and value management for projects.
5. Leading change management for project contract administration – ensuring all required notices are issued in a timely manner.
6. Managing the supply chain across typically 25 workstream packages and risk and opportunity management for projects.
7. Identifying, preparing, and negotiating claims and assisting with dispute resolution, advising insurers of claims and negotiations.
What you’ll bring
* A broad level of commercial experience with a contracting organization.
* Accepted qualification in a construction-related subject.
* Relevant CSCS Card.
* Prior experience of running £20m plus Term Service Contract – high volume, low value Task Orders.
* Experience with NEC 3 or 4 Term Service Contract - Options A, C, and E.
* Understanding of contractual requirements of project documents including the roles and responsibilities of all involved and the notices required to record change.
