On behalf of our client, a global manufacturing organisation, we are seeking a suitably experienced candidate to fill the position of Engineering Assistant Team Leader. This role will be based within the Irvine plant, directly reporting to the Engineering Team Leader. Responsibilities: Prepare and monitor the progress of job changes occurring in the cold end, addressing any mechanical issues swiftly to minimise downtime. Prioritise tasks and delegate responsibilities to members of the cold end engineering team to ensure essential tasks are completed. Assess the planned maintenance work needed during job changes to reduce the likelihood of engineering problems. Maintain open communication with plant management and other departments to enhance production efficiency. Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend procedural enhancements to foster continuous development. Provide support and guidance to help the business meet its KPIs. Required Skills / Qualifications: Qualified, time-served engineer. Experience in a process environment is preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. A solid understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools and continuous improvement methodologies. Familiarity with relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations. Effective people management skills.
