Main duties of the job
* Cornea & Anterior Segment Training: Hands-on experience in theatres and outpatient clinics, including corneal transplant work at Hinchingbrooke Hospital supported by a Zeiss operating microscope and Bausch & Lomb Stellaris machine.
* Modern Facilities: Access to OCT, Humphrey Visual Field, Optos retinal photography, Pentacam and advanced laser treatments.
* On-Call Rota: Participate in the 1:8 first on-call ophthalmology rota, delivering high-quality acute care for a broad range of ophthalmic emergencies.
* Varied Theatres: Operating at both Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Peterborough City Hospital, with specialised equipment such as the Moria Microkeratome for corneal graft procedures.
