On behalf of EANI, we are looking for three Project Managers Inside IR35 for a 6 months contract based in Armagh-Belfast-Ballymena Office- Northern Ireland EA was established on 1 April 2015 under the Education Act (Northern Ireland) 2014. EA is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department of Education (DE) and the Department for the Economy (DfE), responsible for ensuring that efficient and effective primary and secondary education and educational services are available to meet the needs of children and young people, and for ensuring the provision of efficient and effective youth services. As a Project Managers, your main responsibilities will be: Assisting with the provision of cost control in connection with the Education Authoritys capital and revenue projects; Providing estimates and monitoring expenditure on the Education Authoritys programmes of work; Assisting with progressing contract and fee payments on a wide variety of projects Advising other units on contractual procedures to be followed and producing contract preliminaries for tender documents; Assisting with selecting contractors, scrutinising submitted tenders, assessing claims for payment and settling final accounts and claims; Assessing fee claims received from external consultants Assisting with progressing capital projects through the Department of Education financial approvals system and negotiating with the Department of Education on cost allowances for each project. Responsible for supervising a large number of highly qualified external consultants from within the construction industry i.e. Architects, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Clerk of Works and Principal Designers. This supervision will not be shared but the post holder will report to his/her Line Manager, he/she will also be expected to deputise for his/her Line Manager as and when required. The post holder may supervise Architectural Technicians, Students and Administrative Staff. Essential: Experience in a paid capacity working in construction-related project management within the last ten years. Experience of making managerial and technical decisions Experience of using the NEC 3 Suite of Contracts Demonstrable experience in the use of AutoCAD.
