Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our specialist dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dental team during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. Duties
1. Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
2. Provide high-quality patient care by reassuring patients and addressing their concerns before, during, and after procedures.
3. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using IT systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
4. Sterilise instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment areas to uphold infection control protocols.
5. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively to optimise clinic operations.
6. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
7. Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient treatment.
Skills
1. Qualified nurse with experience in orthodontics essential.
2. Sedation qualification desirable for inhalation sedation.
3. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
4. Strong IT skills for managing patient records and utilising dental software efficiently.
5. Highly organised with the ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
6. A genuine passion for patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
