The Governors and Head Teacher of Hylton Red House Nursery School are seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspiring Deputy Headteacher (QTS), who is passionate and committed to early years.
Hylton Red House Nursery School has been part of our community for 50 years. We are a maintained nursery school, consistently graded as outstanding and highly valued by our local community. We are very proud of our high quality, inclusive and nurturing environment where children aged birth to five are inspired, motivated and engaged in their learning indoors and out. We provide a caring, nurturing community for all children and their families, promoting a love of learning through a rich and varied curriculum.
The Deputy Headteacher occupies an influential position within the school, and is expected to demonstrate they are lead professionals and significant role models within the school and the local community they serve. In our maintained nursery school, the Deputy Headteacher will teach as a Key Person, raising the quality of teaching and learning. The Deputy Headteacher will work closely with the Headteacher, Childcare Manager and our partners to ensure and foster positive transitions at all stages.
As the only teacher other than the Headteacher, we will expect the successful candidate to be suitably experienced and competent in working with early years. We can offer an experienced, enthusiastic and supportive team of staff, a comprehensive programme of professional development and ongoing support from our experienced Governors and Headteacher. We will expect the successful candidate to demonstrate commitment to improving their own practice, working collaboratively with wider professional partners and networks beyond the classroom to raise standards.
