Our client has been trading for over 20 years and is a true industry leader, with expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of steam, hot water, and air heating systems. Due to contract awards and expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team to cover a portfolio of long-term interesting contracts in Essex/East Anglia and East Cambs.
Job Purpose
As the Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be required to maintain services by delivering planned and reactive maintenance to an agreed programme, budget, and quality within the company's operational targets.
1. Carry out inspections, diagnose faults, fit parts, and carry out repairs.
2. Testing and commissioning of Commercial Boilers and associated equipment.
3. Undertake gas servicing, repairs, and maintenance.
4. Carry out other maintenance, repairs, and remedial works as directed.
5. Participate in call-out duties via rota.
6. Comply with safe working practices ensuring the safety of the workforce and public is maintained at all times.
7. Follow the company's Health & Safety policy and related safe systems of work. Attend safety meetings, training, and briefings as required.
Experience Required
1. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the commercial gas industry.
2. Knowledge of Plumbing & Commercial Gas Engineering.
3. Experience in Repairs / Servicing / Maintenance and Installation.
4. Experience as a suitably qualified heating/gas service engineer working in commercial and/or domestic premises.
5. A working knowledge of heating distribution and ventilation systems is essential, as most works will be within plant rooms with all associated equipment.
6. Experience with routine maintenance of associated plant items such as pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and valves.
7. Ability to use a PDA device.
8. Call-out rota 1 in every 5 weeks.

1. CODNCO1 / COCN1 Core Commercial Gas Safety - ESSENTIAL
2. CORT1, CIGA1, ICPN1, CDGA1, TPCP1A
3. CCN1, CENWAT, CEN1, HTR1, CPA1, CKR1
4. WAT1 Water Heaters
5. UDHW Unvented Domestic Hot Water
6. LPG qualified - Desirable but not essential
7. TPCP1 Testing & Purging - Desirable but not essential
8. Valid full clean driving licence is required.
9. DBS Check required.
Salary / Benefits Package
Competitive Salary dependent on experience up to 52k.
