We are working with a leading international firm seeking a Senior Risk Lawyer to join its Office of the General Counsel. Reporting directly to the COLP/General Counsel and collaborating with the wider General Counsel team, this role is pivotal in providing legal advice and guidance both within the department and across the firm's group.

Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the GC/COLP on various legal risk matters, taking the lead where appropriate. This includes responding to legal queries, offering guidance, updating policies and procedures, and supporting firm-wide initiatives related to regulatory and financial crime compliance.
* Manage and oversee the review of commercial agreements and client contracts from a General Counsel perspective, working closely with key stakeholders across the firm.
* Maintain a proactive approach to regulatory changes, evaluating their impact on the firm’s existing processes and implementing necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing compliance.
Applicant Expectations:
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales or holder of an equivalent foreign qualification.
* Compliance experience is essential, particularly if gained within a Risk and Compliance team in an international law firm
* Experience in conflicts of interest or financial crime (not essential)
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands and support a range of stakeholders effectively.
