Salary: £36,000 per annum plus Veolia benefits Hours: 43 hours per week - 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday however hours may slightly flex Location: You will be based between a static site (Leeds) and the mobile area of west and South Yorkshire We are seeking an apprentice trained Electrical/ Multi-disciplined Technician with a strong Electrical bias to be responsible for all day to day maintenance activities at one of our customer locations in Leeds. The scope of your activities will comprise of maintenance to boilers, refrigeration equipment, air handling systems, compressed air systems and all the auxiliary and ancillary plant used to support the continued successful delivery of our services to the customer. You will be based at the head office of one of Europe's largest dairy companies sourcing approximately 8.4 billion litres of milk a year and employing 16,500 people worldwide with their products sold in more than 100 countries. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will be able to demonstrate a wide experience in industrial plant and equipment maintenance. You will also be able to demonstrate an appreciation of Mechanical equipment maintenance. What you'll be doing; Diagnosing and repairing faults on an extensive range of electrical/ mechanical equipment Carry out root cause analysis and play an active role in investigating recurring faults and engineering solutions. Carrying out planned preventative & reactive maintenance Preparing procedures and risk assessment for maintenance tasks Supervision of maintenance sub-contractors Mechanical/ Electrical assets including pumps, motors, compressors. You will accurately record maintenance using a CMMS to help plan future maintenance activities. What we're looking for; A time served mechanical or electrical technician with proven experience in maintenance on a utilities plant or similar heavy industrial environment ONC/ NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds qualified or other recognized certification by a recognised body Strong health and safety knowledge Detailed knowledge of plant and maintenance systems and their functionality, especially computer based. Appropriate IT skills (confident use of Google,CMMS, email etc.) Experienced in carrying out mechanical/ electrical maintenance in an industrial process environment such as waste to energy, power station, chemical, oil & gas, petrochemical or marine engineering. Knowledge of electrical systems & controls UK Driving Licence Desirable: Knowledge of Incineration and Power Generation or similar industry General pipefitting & welding knowledge Experience in carrying out maintenance on C&I assets including its DCS and associated PLC's control systems in a heavy industrial process environment preferred Working knowledge of pressure system regulation What's next?
