Each county has its own dedicated Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), and the service has been commissioned to improve the immediate medical response and aftercare offered to victims of sexual assault and rape.
Mountain Healthcare is a specialist business already providing similar services to 20 other SARCs in locations across the UK. For this role, you will work as the Regional Contract Director and will be responsible for SARC Regions and all activities related to the smooth running of the SARC.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commissioner/Contract Management
2. Accountable for the successful delivery of the Eastern region contracts
3. Overall financial performance of the Eastern contract
4. Overall commissioner satisfaction
5. Overall provision of the service model
6. Team leadership
7. Delivery of KPIs
8. Adherence to agreed quality standards
9. Continuous improvement & Meeting our regulators' standards
10. Growth of the existing contracts - sales targets
11. Identification of new opportunities for Mountain within their region
12. Reporting and budget ownership
13. Own the stakeholder relationships - commissioners and other third parties
14. Act as an ambassador for our service
15. Identify service gaps, potential business cases, and new opportunities for growth
16. Accountable for ensuring the end-to-end patient journey through our service is as good as it can possibly be
17. Identifying and solutioning new service areas for patients
18. Oversee the delivery of the clinical elements of SARC healthcare provision as set out in the Contracts
19. Act as the operational single point of contact (Ops SPOC) for Doctors
20. Accountable for ensuring that our forensic service conforms to all relevant quality standards (CQC, UKAS, Mountain etc)
21. Accountable for ensuring that safeguarding is embedded throughout their service
22. Accountable for ensuring that the service conforms to best practice for medicines management
23. Multi Agency Working
24. Lead on regional operational groups
25. Engage with local safeguarding boards
26. Governance & Quality
27. CQC Registered Manager if required
28. Accountable for ensuring the QMS (QM, documented processes, audit frameworks etc) are up to date and fit for purpose
29. Accountable for ensuring the risk registers in their region are up to date and fit for purpose
30. Accountable for Health and safety across their region
31. Accountable for ensuring that investigations of serious incidents are properly completed
32. Accountable for ensuring that complaints are properly investigated and closed
33. Accountable for ensuring that patient satisfaction measures are met
34. Accountable for ensuring that all relevant audits are carried out
35. Accountable for ensuring that Information Asset Ownership is properly managed in their regions
36. Accountable for ensuring that the activities to support Forensic Regulator accreditation are completed
37. Accountable for continually monitoring potential accreditations
38. Proactively manage service user feedback to drive continuous improvement
39. Accountable for ensuring that serious case review; safeguarding rapid reviews for adults and children are completed to the required standard
40. Accountable for records management and information governance within their region
41. For any SI, be accountable for ensuring that the NHSE escalation process is properly managed
42. Ensure that the service is compliant with the audit schedule and ensure that action plans are completed
43. Accountable for ensuring that the needs of the criminal justice system are met
44. Ensure that requirements for reports for child protection proceedings are met
45. Oversight of forensic regulator requirements
46. Ensure that registered healthcare professionals under your management renew their registration as directed by their professional body
47. Communicating to your teams, the importance of maintaining professional registrations at all times
48. Maintaining a system to record relevant professional registrations, expiry and renewal dates of the staff you are responsible for
49. Leadership responsibilities for all the staff in the region
50. Accountable for staff satisfaction
51. Direct line management of SARC Managers and other key members of the team as required
52. Take responsibility for staff wellbeing
53. Promoting a positive culture within their region
54. Supporting research and quality improvement activities for the region
55. Take responsibility for communicating new initiatives and comms messages on behalf of the organisation
56. Accountable for ensuring rota compliance across the region
57. Accountable for ensuring that their teams are compliant with MAST, vetting, revalidation, onboarding and offboarding and DBS
58. Training and Personal Development responsibilities
59. Attend supervision for themselves and carry out supervision for their direct reports
60. Take personal responsibility to keep up to date with relevant guidance
61. To undertake Mandatory and Statutory Training in line with Mountain Healthcare policy
62. Accountable for their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of their teams
63. Ensure that all the required activities for revalidation are successfully completed
64. To undertake training in line with the objectives and PDP set at regular formal appraisals
