Pegasus Academy has a strong leadership team with enthusiastic and motivated staff, with learners who are a credit to their community, with the mission to instill ambition and values to dream big in all our learners.
Pegasus is located just outside central Dudley at the intersection of several major roads and bus routes. It is the smallest secondary academy in the Trust with some 600 learners on roll. Since the creation of the Trust, a large number of new senior staff have been appointed. There has been an extensive programme of refurbishment, which continues.
As a Trust, we are highly centralised, which means that all of our systems and processes are aligned. Everything we do is developed collaboratively involving many professionals and experts who work together across the Trust, all striving to provide the highest quality provision for our learners.
Teaching and Learning is supported by a central team of Subject Directors who are experienced teachers with leadership and mentoring skills who work across our academies supporting teachers in their personal development, data analysis, and curriculum planning. Subject Directors have specific areas of focus such as Mathematics, Science, Reading, Writing, and History.
The Trust recognises that our staff are our most valuable asset and investing in our people is a key strategic priority for the Trust. A common and extensive programme of staff development operates across the Trust; this is extended to senior and middle leaders, aspiring leaders, teaching and support staff, and non-qualified teachers.
