Heavy Recovery Driver
π The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Recovery Driver to join our team at TMS/TCR, a leader in transport and recovery solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with expertise in vehicle recovery, transport, and Hiab movements to take on an important role in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for safely operating a wide range of vehicles and equipment, ensuring compliance with company policies and Health & Safety regulations.
π Key Responsibilities:
* π Perform vehicle recovery and transport on customer vehicles and equipment in line with legal and company Health & Safety guidelines.
* β± Respond swiftly to breakdowns within the designated time and keep the Workshop Office updated on job progress.
* π Ensure accurate completion of electronic records, including necessary details and photographs to assist the workshop team.
* π§ Carry out driver checks on vehicles and equipment, keeping vehicles clean and ensuring they are used as per company policies.
* π― Adhere to IVR recovery training guidelines and ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used correctly.
* π Safely operate lifting equipment and ensure all lifting gear complies with LOLER regulations.
* π Manoeuvre vehicles around the workshop or airport, where required, according to your training and appropriate licences.
π Working Hours:
* Shift Pattern: Negotiable
* Day Shifts: Negotiable
π΅οΈ What We Are Looking For:
* Essential: Valid HGV C+E licence, Tacho Card, and Driver CPC (DCPC).
* Experience in vehicle recovery, transport, and Hiab operations.
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
* π§βπ€βπ§ A customer-focused approach, with the ability to provide high-quality service.
* π Excellent attention to detail, particularly in completing job records and reporting issues.
π Desirable Experience:
* Previous work experience in the motor industry, airport environments, or Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
* Certifications in IVR training, Lorry Loader Crane (ALLMI/ITSSAR), and Forklift operations.
* Familiarity with mechanical engineering or equipment maintenance.
* Additional qualifications such as ADR, IPAF, or D Licence would be beneficial.
