Duties and responsibilities Clinical provision encompasses inpatient, day-case and outpatient services for both malignant and non-malignant haematological disease. Shared managerial responsibility on an agreed basis with colleagues. Provision of an out of hours on call service with consultant colleagues. Participation in undergraduate/postgraduate medical/nursing/laboratory staff teaching as appropriate. The post-holder will engage with the requirements of NCAG with regards to the local acute oncology service Provision of mutual cover with consultant colleagues for periods of annual leave, sickness and study leave on an equitable basis. Participation in Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance procedures. The current study leave budget is £800 per annum and it is expected that the postholder will be registered for CPD with the relevant Royal College. The postholder will be required to produce evidence of engagement with CPD as part of the appraisal and revalidation process. Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust will provide doctors with support to complete a regular annual appraisal and with the revalidation process.
