Food & Beverage Manager Gateshead up to 28k.
A North East based hotel is looking to recruit an experienced Food & Beverage Manager. This role will involve Head of Department status, with eligibility to join the Hotel Management Incentive Scheme after the qualifying period - 10% of salary if joint hotel targets achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all F&B measures scoring over 8 on Medallia.
2. Achieve Food & Beverage sales targets.
3. Maintain effective, recorded, and retained training documentation to drive sales and deliver a positive guest experience through engaged team service, sales, till & float process.
4. Work closely with finance to ensure adequate stocks of beverage and related equipment, and address any charging and control issues that arise.
5. Conduct beverage stock taking at each month end, ensuring clean and safe beer lines.
6. Prepare, check, and monitor departmental forecasts and rotas to ensure alignment with set budgets and business needs.
7. Control costs through correct stock usage, storage, rotation, maintaining par stock levels, purchase order systems, and minimizing wastage as per company standards.
8. Participate in the budgeting process and understand how the role impacts the hotel Profit and Loss account.
9. Ensure sales initiatives, including daily specials, are promoted to maximize sales and achieve budgeted Gross Profit percentage.
Work Schedule:
This role includes a 5/7 days a week rota basis according to the needs of the business and the team, covering shifts from 06:30/07:00 to 15:00 Early, 15:00 to 23:00, and 15:00 to 01:00 Late, including weekends and bank holidays over 365 days (Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, etc.).
