Job Description
As WMS System Training Lead, you will be leading a team of initially 2 other trainers. The team will train operational colleagues on the new system. Your role will be responsible for the definition of the approach and method used to deliver training, which is a critical element of the program's success.
You will equip colleagues with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilize systems and understand operational process changes, delivering training that supports multiple learning styles and enabling colleagues to adapt to the necessary changes for a successful system implementation.
What will you be doing?
1. Create engaging training material and courses that impart the necessary skills and knowledge to colleagues.
2. Organize courses and manage attendance, ensuring training is delivered to the right individuals, to the necessary standards and timeframe for successful implementation at each site.
3. Manage colleague training records to demonstrate each colleague has the appropriate knowledge to complete their tasks.
4. Create and maintain an online catalogue of training material accessible for trainers and colleagues, supporting retraining and the training of new staff.
5. Work with stakeholders to develop a training strategy that aligns with the overall system implementation plan, integrating training programs into the project timeline.
6. Establish mechanisms for assessing the effectiveness of training programs, including post-training evaluations, and use feedback for continuous improvements.
Qualifications
1. Experience in leading training initiatives, preferably in the context of system implementations.
2. In-depth knowledge of the specific system being implemented or similar systems.
3. Ability to design and develop training curricula tailored to different user groups, including manuals, presentations, and multimedia content.
4. Experience leading a training team, skilled in delegating tasks and fostering a collaborative environment.
5. Strong communication skills to convey training plans and outcomes to various stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in project planning and management to align training with the implementation timeline.
