Salary: £67,200 - £82,300 depending on experience, plus benefits

About the role
The Head of Global Recognitions will lead Cambridge's global recognition strategy, enhancing the visibility and acceptance of its qualifications. Reporting into the Director, University Pathways and Progression, you will develop and implement a strategy to enhance the recognition of Cambridge qualifications on a global scale as our presence expands in various regions. Engaging with universities, regulatory and accreditation bodies, and governments worldwide, you will significantly contribute to the value we provide to our customers and end users.
In this role, you'll assist in formulating the global recognition strategy in alignment with the business plan, ensuring that the recognition of our qualifications supports business growth and facilitates Cambridge learners' progression. You'll oversee recognition managers in specific regions, training, mentoring, and developing team members to achieve high performance standards.
Additionally, you'll elevate the profile of Cambridge International Education with key stakeholders in higher education within assigned regions to support market growth. Engaging globally to enhance the recognition of Cambridge qualifications in emerging markets will also be one of your responsibilities.
You'll be leading the shaping of the higher education research agenda by developing relationships with higher education institutions in key destination countries. Your guidance will be crucial in meeting the division's goals by connecting with universities, regulatory bodies, and governments to understand and address country-specific challenges.
Lastly, you'll establish Higher Education Advisory Councils (HEACs) in the assigned regions, ensuring alignment with Cambridge International Education's business objectives.
About you
We are looking for a candidate with an in-depth knowledge of UK and international education systems and strong familiarity with various qualifications that allow access to universities. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, strategic thinking, and innovative ability. You should be able to manage a team effectively and work independently under pressure.
Key Qualities:
1. Qualified to degree level plus a postgraduate qualification or experience in an education or assessment-related area.
2. Substantial experience in education, preferably in a range of international contexts and at different stages of education.
3. Experience in managing a team remotely and face to face.
4. Strong familiarity with international education and deep understanding of the competitor's curricula.
5. Excellent interpersonal, diplomacy, and communication skills.
6. Positive customer focus and confidence in presenting information.
7. Willingness to work flexibly and to travel.
