What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Head of Physics to implement and deliver a knowledge rich curriculum and support the overall progress and development of our students. You will facilitate and encourage an engaging learning experience which provides students the opportunity to achieve their full potential. The successful applicant will be a strong teacher, ready to take on a middle leadership role and to teach throughout the age and ability range, including A Level Physics. The role will suit someone who is able to effectively lead and manage colleagues and able to build positive relationships with both students and parents.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to accept new ideas and a thorough commitment to student learning with evidence of high degree of subject specialism and professional development, as well as a flexible and adaptable attitude to meet the needs of the school. We want to recruit staff with the vision and determination to ensure all our students receive a first-class education, and who will rise to the challenge of building on success.
Science Faculty
The team is led by the Assistant Head, Adam Roche and Head of Faculty, Ellie Russell, supported by three Heads of Subject, two Lead Practitioners and the Co-ordinator of Learning Initiatives. The team is very experienced, and any new member of staff will have access to significant ongoing support in the team to ensure a successful transition to school.
