PSJ fabrications, a Wood subsidiary company are recruiting a Technical Sales Manager to join our Sheet Metal Fabrication team based in Bedford. This position can be on either a hybrid or remote basis with the expectation of regular travel across the UK to client sites and the Bedford office as and when required. The Role The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for winning and managing new accounts, maintaining an effective social media presence for the business and planning exhibition attendance to maximise business exposure to potential new customers. The successful candidate will build long term relationships with customers creating an atmosphere of trust and co-operation and resolve all customer enquires in a timely and effective manner. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales specialist from a metal fabrication background who is driven by achieving targets to add significant value to our PSJ team. Our 23,000 sq. feet facility in Bedford is host to “cutting edge” machinery with capabilities including; Fibre Optic Laser cutting, Brake press forming and Micro bore Welding. Accredited to ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and EN1090-1 we have the ability to perform bespoke manufacturing as well as high volume manufacturing. We support clients across a range of different industries from commercial to highly regulated such as Nuclear and defence. Further benefits include a generous contributory pension scheme, private medical cover, 4x base salary life insurance; all of these and more that can be adapted to suit your own lifestyle Commitment to continued professional development; development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interests Responsibilities The key objectives for this role are: Assist the Director with the Business Development strategy, through the identification and targeting of new business opportunities with new customers Achieve predefined sales targets in line with company expectations Manage the new business pipeline and provide regular status updates and corrective action plans when off target Deliver technical and product presentations in line with company requirements Complete forecasting and reporting in an accurate and timely manner, as required by the business Assist in the Bid Review process to ensure the maximum opportunity for the business Build long term relationships with customers creating an atmosphere of trust and co-operation Attend exhibitions, events and customer entertainment as may be reasonably required on a national basis, that may require overnight stays Resolve all customer enquires in a timely and effective manner To comply with the company policy as defined in the Staff Handbook, Safety Manual, and Quality Assurance Manual Qualifications What makes you remarkable?
