Kids Planet Day Nurseries provide the highest standard of nursery care and education in each of our settings within a unique environment in which children are actively encouraged to explore, learn and interact with others. With over 220 nurseries, we are now looking to fill the following role due to rapid expansion.
We are looking for a highly dedicated individual who is looking for the opportunity to be our SENDCO Lead based at Kids Planet Heaton Mersey.
This role would suit a highly motivated, organised, enthusiastic and creative person. A natural leader that possesses excellent time management and people skills. Our nursery is a lively setting with lots of creativity and has a team who are dedicated to the care of children.
This is the opportunity to develop a new role, caring for and supporting children with Special Educational Needs to develop and reach their full potential. Responsibilities include liaising with external agencies and professionals, leading meetings, completing and implementing paperwork to a high standard, and providing targeted support time to children requiring additional assistance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
2. Assist the manager in ensuring that all legislation in relation to Ofsted registration, special needs, safeguarding and Health and Safety is complied with, and that company policies and procedures are adhered to.
3. Co-ordination of tasks and responsibilities and the ability to delegate where necessary.
The ideal applicant:
1. Must be at least Level 3 qualified and have experience working at a senior level.
2. Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted.
3. Experience of managing budgets.
4. An excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families.
5. Experience of managing/supervising staff with extensive knowledge of Safeguarding.
6. Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
7. Able to demonstrate multi-agency working and experience of leading staff meetings.
8. Managing and maintaining administration requirements.
