NRL are seeking a dedicated Environmental Specialist to join our client’s team in Hull on a permanent basis. You will ensure compliance with environmental and health and safety legislation, while promoting environmental best practices.
What We Are Looking For :
We need a highly motivated individual with:
1. A degree in environmental management, chemical engineering, or similar field.
2. Experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
3. Proficiency in environmental and operations management.
4. Knowledge of key environmental legislation and UK Environment Agency processes.
5. Auditing experience.
6. Understanding of basic health, safety, security, and crisis management legislation.
7. Expertise in environmental abatement techniques, risk assessments, and impact assessments.
8. Skills in water and wastewater management, and air emission sampling and monitoring.
Key Accountabilities:
9. Manage the environmental management program and system.
10. Serve as the subject matter expert for environmental legislation and standards.
11. Oversee the Waste Management contract and waste minimization plan.
12. Support assurance processes and self-verification systems.
13. Handle greenhouse gas emissions permit and ISO-9001 coordination.
14. Lead ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and internal audits.
15. Develop and sustain the environmental strategy and performance agenda.
16. Champion environmental improvements and manage the Carbon Plan.
17. Oversee site environmental permits and regulatory correspondence.
