Position
Role Purpose
To support the Head of Operations Oversight in ensuring high-quality output and regulatory compliance of fund accounting and financial reporting activities outsourced to third-party service providers, particularly regarding the production and dissemination of fund/class prices, NAV production, financial statements, and associated deliverables.
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and support key stakeholders in Fund Accounting, ensuring the operational effectiveness of systems and controls to achieve compliance with Fund Accounting and protect client assets.
The Fund Operations Oversight Analyst will act in an oversight capacity, reviewing the Net Asset Values of UK registered portfolios, Pricing, Corporate Actions, and middle office transaction processes.
Serve as a secondary point of contact with auditors for SOC and Fund engagements to ensure audits are completed professionally and timely, in conjunction with the outsourced service provider, and that all resulting management actions are followed up to a high standard and within stipulated deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Ongoing monitoring and due diligence to ensure adherence to and deviation from contractual KPIs and service level agreements in respect of Fund Operations.
* Oversee the delivery of all aspects of fund accounting processes undertaken by the third-party service provider, in accordance with the SORP and FRS102.
* Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that appropriate systems and controls are in place for compliance with obligations.
* Understand and challenge the output from third-party service providers to ensure required standards are achieved.
* Oversee Fund Operations activities to ensure adherence to business processes and controls designed to meet regulatory standards and identify and mitigate operational risk.
* Assist with providing support and guidance on projects and business changes impacting the firm’s obligations within fund operations.
* Review all breaches, providing direction and support to the relevant risk owner to ensure appropriate remediation action and escalation are taken.
* Continually review controls to ensure risks are managed effectively.
* Ensure timely and accurate responses to queries raised by third-party service providers.
* Prepare and present high-quality, accurate, and meaningful MI for the firm’s Operations Committees.
* Attend Service Review Meetings and Due Diligence assessments as required, providing input for reports to senior management on findings.
* Maintain the delivery of continuous improvement plans and monitor the continuous improvement plans of third-party service providers.

Qualifications:
* Appropriate CPD
* Experience in Fund Accounting or Operational areas impacted by Fund Accounting processes and ICAV Funds.
* Experience in SOC

* In-depth experience in one of the following areas: Fund Accounting, NAV production, Fund Pricing, Corporate Actions, and Middle office transaction processes.
