Senior Risk and Costing Analyst Birmingham (hybrid working) Permanent Are you a data-driven problem solver with a deep understanding of the UK energy industry? This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative commercial team and play a key role in cost forecasting, risk assessment, and financial planning. What you'll be doing: Forecast energy, third-party, and environmental costs for pricing and financial planning. Ensure accurate cost updates and reporting. Conduct risk assessments and modelling for pricing and contracts. Engage with industry stakeholders to assess regulatory changes and market risks. Support renewable energy operations, including compliance and trading. Improve forecasting methods and risk strategies. Collaborate with internal departments and industry bodies. What you'll need to know: UK energy industry expertise - in particular an understanding of non-commodity industry costs are essential for this role. Strong statistical and risk analysis skills. Advanced Excel skills and a competent grasp of Power BI. Additional techncial skills e.g. VBA or Python would be advantageous but aren't essential. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, clear communication, adaptability, and time management.
