We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HMP Lewes, a category B male Prison located in near the centre of the historical town of Lewes, which is just a 5 minute walk away.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week working Monday to Friday, 07.00-19.30pm. Working 3 longer days for 3 weeks, 4 longer days 1 in every 4. Weekend working, once a month.
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £47,250 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide clinical leadership to a small team of paramedics
* Have an individual approach to all patients, providing triage, minor illness and minor injury assessment
* Undertake the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's care, within the healthcare centre and on the Wings/blocks
* Perform procedures such as suturing, IV access, hemorrhage control, wound care and cardiac & CVA intervention

Qualifications required
* Qualified Paramedic and registered with the HCPC with post qualification experience
* ILS training and certificates
* Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up-to-date knowledge and ongoing competence in all aspects of the role
