Role Description
As a Fabricator / Vehicle Body Assembly Technician, you will play a key role in the fabrication and assembly of vehicle bodies, utilizing your skills in welding, metalwork, and manufacturing processes. You will work with a variety of materials, tools, and techniques to ensure the highest standards of quality and precision are met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform MIG/TIG welding, metal fabrication, and vehicle body assembly according to detailed specifications.
2. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to accurately assemble vehicle parts and components.
3. Use a variety of hand and power tools for fabrication tasks.
4. Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
5. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
6. Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and solve fabrication issues as they arise.
7. Adhere to all company health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
8. Regularly inspect equipment and tools to ensure proper function and safety.
Experience:
1. Proven experience in fabrication, vehicle body assembly, and MIG/TIG welding.
2. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques.
3. Ability to read CAD and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
4. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
5. Reliable transportation and own set of tools required.
6. Commitment to high-quality standards and safety practices.
7. Attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong work ethic and ability to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Minimum 5 years experience in the automotive or vehicle manufacturing industry.
2. Welding and Fabrication level 3 diploma.
3. Familiarity with industry standards and certifications related to welding and fabrication.
