We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Logistics Operative / Purchasing and Stores Assistant with excellent organisational, communication and planning skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Working as the Logistics Operative / Purchasing and Stores Assistant you will be responsible for producing, planning, coordinating and controlling the manufactured products to be dispatched to clients from the Purchasing, Stores & Logistics Department.
As the Logistics Operative / Purchasing and Stores Assistant, you will ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the Purchasing, Stores & Logistics Production to ensure that goods and services are produced and that the correct amount is produced on time and in full to meet the quality standards set by the business.
Building good working relationships with colleagues and interaction with the wider organisation is critical in this role, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital. This role will encompass a fully integrated EFACS ERP System, so the ability to adapt, document and learn new systems is crucial.
DUTIES
Your duties as a Logistics Operative / Purchasing and Stores Assistant will include:
* Supporting the Team Leader / Logistics & Purchasing, Stores & Logistics Manager with Purchasing, Stores & Logistics and attain production targets within budget to meet set targets of the business.
* Hands-on approach, handling specialist responsibilities such as Logistics.
* Despatch, OP16 Scheduling, Shipping Systems & Procedures, Final Inspection, Purchasing & Assessment of Suppliers, QT9 Suppliers Module, Plastic Preparation, Senator Guillotine Operation, Slitter Operation & Purchasing, Stores & Logistics Fault Finding.
* Undertaking training in order to self-develop skills in the Purchasing, Stores & Logistics Department including training and development, appraisals, communication, and structures by setting & maintaining a team culture.
* Ensuring the Purchasing, Stores & Logistics Department is fit for purpose and presented to an excellent, professional standard to satisfy ISO:9001:2015 Quality Standards.
* Resolving the Purchasing, Stores & Logistics Department technical issues & processes, including maintenance, problem-solving, and dealing with Quality issues accordingly.
* Liaising with all personnel in Purchasing, Stores & Logistics Department & all Production areas including Operations, Commercial, Customer Service, Design & Quality Health & Safety to achieve set goals & objectives of the business adhering to Health & Safety Standards throughout the business.
