Role: Housing Manager - Independent Living Scheme

Abbeyfield is looking for an experienced Housing Manager to lead our independent living service. This role is ideal for someone with experience in elderly social housing who is passionate about delivering excellent service in a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage leasehold and tenancy agreements, ensuring residents have a positive and secure living experience.
2. Promote the service within the local community and build relationships with referral agencies.
3. Maximise rental and service charge income, maintain high occupancy, and control staff and property-related costs.
4. Lead and develop staff teams, ensuring effective rotas and high service standards.
5. Ensure full compliance with regulations, Abbeyfield policies, and audit requirements.
About You:
1. Significant management experience in housing, social care, or a similar role, ideally within sheltered or supported housing.
2. Strong knowledge of national health and social care strategy for older people.
3. At least 12 months’ experience leading and managing teams, including performance management and staff development.
4. Level 5 Qualification in Housing (or willing to work towards).
