Salford City Council are seeking a Senior Communications Officer who is passionate about making a real difference in the community and thrives in a dynamic environment. This role offers the opportunity to work across the council and various partnerships, requiring a professional with the credibility to influence and collaborate effectively. Day-to-day of the role: Work closely with the Communications Manager to develop and deliver comprehensive communications plans for various projects across the council and the city. Act as an account lead, providing strategic communications and marketing support and advice to colleagues, partners, and elected members. Enhance the reputation of the council and the city by working alongside a team of multi-disciplinary communications professionals and communications leads across our partnerships. Support the delivery of evidence-based campaigns and targeted communication strategies across both digital and offline channels. Focus on delivering the elected City Mayor’s vision and objectives through diverse projects. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role. Strong ability to produce effective and exciting campaigns across multiple platforms. Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills, with a track record of delivering successful communication outcomes. Ability to work collaboratively and respect the contributions of others. Skilled in digital communications and media relations.
