BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION APPRENTICE
Salary: Apprenticeship Rate: £6.40 per hour for the first 12 months of employment.
(National Apprenticeship Rate increasing to £7.55 per hour in April)
Annual salary per annum: £11,904 (Based upon £7.55 hourly rate)
Contract: Fixed term, 18 months, term time plus 5 days when the students are not in the Academy
Hours: 35 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 8.30 am – 3.30 pm
Start Date: Apprenticeship will start as soon as possible
Highfields Primary Academy has a new and exciting opportunity for a Business Administration Apprentice to join our school. The Business Administration Apprentice will join our office team to provide general clerical, administrative and financial support to the school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake reception duties, answer routine telephone and face to face enquiries and sign in visitors.
* Assist with arrangements for visits from relevant external bodies, e.g. school nurse, photographer etc.
* Provide routine clerical support, e.g. photocopying, filing, emailing and completing routine forms.
* Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems and respond to queries.
* Undertake routine typing, word-processing on an ad hoc basis.
* Sort, distribute and record mail.
* Undertake routine administration, e.g. registers/school meals.
* Operate office equipment e.g. photocopier, computer. Arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies.
* Undertake routine financial administration e.g. collect and record dinner money.
* Deliver basic first aid and administer medicines.

The successful candidate will complete a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration.
