Job Description
To strengthen our team we are looking for a
Watch Designer
100 %, work location Maidenhead, Berkshire
You will help to deliver world class products for watch enthusiasts and therefore assist to shape and drive the product creation of Christopher Ward products across watches, movements and accessories.
Your mission:
• Complete product design projects, either within the team or individually
• Create hand drawn concepts to quickly convey designs and ideas
• Present fully formed concepts to the wider product team for consideration
• Refine concepts with a focus on the micro details to produce a cohesive final product
• Create specification documents to be provided to the technical team
• Check and give feedback on technical drawings, 3D models and samples
• Maintain brand consistency throughout the range
• Liaise within the group to ensure deadlines are met
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools
Your story:
• 2 yrs + experience within the watch / luxury product industry
• BSc or BA degree in Product Design, Visual Arts or relevant field
• Portfolio of completed design projects
• Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator for quickly creating 2D designs
• Proficient in other design software (Photoshop, InDesign, Procreate)
• Experience on 3D CAD software such as Solidworks or Fusion 360 is a plus
• Strong aesthetic skills with an understanding of the impact of colour
• Meticulous attention to detail/accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
• Keen to learn new skills and expand on existing ones
Hours & Location:
• 5day week, Expected 3-days per-week in our Maidenhead office.
• We operate 09:00-17:00 with a 1-hour, unpaid lunch.
