Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of our clients.
Duties
* Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
* Monitor and record patients' health status, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, promoting their mental well-being.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving patients when necessary.
* Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Skills
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
* Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining patient records and documentation.
* Experience in home care settings or care homes is desirable but not essential.
* Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
* A valid driving license is advantageous for roles requiring transportation of patients.
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are crucial attributes for this role.
