Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Family Support Worker to work with a Bolton-based Local Authority on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week (Mon – Fri). The incoming candidate will be required to hold a full UK driver’s licence with access to own vehicle. Main Duties: Contribute to risk assessments to protect children and young people from danger, harm, and abuse Plan and record interventions effectively with the aim to support and contribute to the overall assessment held by referring social care teams Deliver quality interventions within the Framework for Action parenting capacity guidance Offer support and evidence-based intervention around child development using EYFS (Early Years Framework Strategy) guidance and behaviour management strategies Work in partnership with families on protection plans within their own home, where appropriate Communicate and work with a range of professionals and agencies, ensuring a seamless service for children and families, managing, and providing information to support effective decision-making Work alongside Social Workers, contributing to assessments and care plans Escort children and families as appropriate Manage a caseload effectively, delivering and reporting on agreed work tasks Essential Criteria: Relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g. NVQ3, BTEC, Early Years, Childcare, Health and Social Care, etc.) Full UK Driver’s License with access to own vehicle Ability to contribute to the protection of children and young people by identifying and acting upon risk of danger, harm, and abuse, responding to suspicions and disclosures as appropriate Ability to communicate the planning, delivery and outcomes of Family Time and direct work, verbally, within case notes and on Family Time recording systems Ability to implement interventions and strategies to prevent family breakdown, support improved outcomes for children and their families and support rehabilitation plans Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage a caseload Ability to develop and implement activities for all children including those with additional needs, disabilities, or behavioural problems Experience of working with children and families support services provided by organisations and agencies across the Borough If your skills align with the above criteria, apply with your updated CV or contact Leah at Belmont Recruitment
