Electronics Technician (Wiring Harnesses) Contract - Oxfordshire We are seeking a skilled Wiring Harness Technician with experience in Automotive/Motorsport The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of wiring harness assembly and maintenance, particularly with expertise in the Raychem System 25. This role demands attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a passion for delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Wiring Harness Assembly: Construct, install, and maintain wiring harnesses according to engineering specifications and industry standards. This includes soldering, crimping, looming, and connector assembly. Raychem System 25 Expertise: Utilise in-depth knowledge and experience with Raychem System 25 components, tools, and techniques for efficient and reliable harness assembly and repair. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identify and resolve wiring harness issues through systematic troubleshooting and diagnostics, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to guarantee the accuracy, integrity, and functionality of wiring harnesses, adhering to strict safety standards and regulations. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of wiring harness specifications, assembly procedures, modifications, and repairs. Generate reports as necessary to communicate progress, issues, and resolutions. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Provide input and feedback to optimize harness design and functionality. Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in wiring harness assembly, preferably in motorsport, automotive, or Formula 1 environments. Raychem System 25 Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in utilising Raychem System 25 components, tools, and techniques for wiring harness assembly and repair. Technical Skills: Proficient in soldering, crimping, looming, and connector assembly. Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools is advantageous.
