Nightjar Music, part of the Atlantic Screen Group, is an independent publishing, sync and creative services company, based in the heart of Soho, London. We are home to a huge and varied catalogue of music; from deep catalogue gems such as Danny Kirwan-era Fleetwood Mac, ‘Love Grows’ songwriter Barry Mason, the exquisite genre and era-spanning Fervor Vintage catalogue, Riptide Music, an expansive and evolving catalogue of contemporary film score; to both current & heritage artists such as ESG, Heartworms, Ofenbach, Gretl, Monster Florence, Arrested Development, the Big Pink, Mr Cutts, Jess Ball, and a growing roster of exciting and emerging writers and artists via our brand new imprint ‘Nightjar Songs Publishing’.

We are seeking an outgoing, talented, dynamic and experienced Sync Manager – Creative, to join our growing team and operations. The role will be based in our Soho offices; however, we would expect you to be out of the office as much as you are in it!
This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving new independent publisher and for the right candidate to grow and develop alongside us as we continue to expand.
You will report directly to our Global Director of Sync.
Required skills:
* An inherent, demonstrable passion for all things music related is an absolute must
* Ability to discuss all genres of music, from all eras, with confidence, enthusiasm and cultural savvy
* You are an avid gig-goer and will relish the opportunity to regularly attend shows
* Ability to work under pressure and work towards both financial and creative targets, managing both long-term and short-term deadlines and autonomously managing your time effectively
* Warm, mature, clear, confident communication skills. Be able to approach clients of all levels of seniority and engage them with our music and services
* Demonstrably confident and proactive networking capabilities
* Imaginative, creative, intuitive and culturally ‘switched on’
* A genuine passion for sync and the use of music across all media
* At least 3 years solid experience in Creative Sync, either at a Rightsholder or as a Music Supervisor
* A little black book brimming with contacts, you will have already developed strong relationships with a wide range of clients across all media, with a particular focus on Advertising supervisors and agencies.
* A knack for writing engaging and insightful copy tailored for various mediums (social media and digital platforms, industry editorial pieces etc) would be a bonus
Key responsibilities:
* Proactively source, develop and maintain relationships with clients across the UK and in other selected territories, across all media - Advertising, TV, Film, Trailers and video games - driving sync activity through marketing our catalogues, securing our place on key briefing lists and inspiring clients to engage with and use our music, communicating clearly, creatively and in a manner appropriate/tailored to each client
* Build a deep knowledge of our copyrights, writers, catalogues and their respective cultural/musical significance in order to inspire clients
* Respond to briefs in a timely manner, demonstrating passion and creativity in our approach and including any pertinent information – creative/cultural context, label and co-pub info, for example - to effectively service and inspire our clients
* Assist the GDS in supporting international agents and sub-publishers with suggestions for local pitch activity and keeping them informed of new releases
* Assist GDS in attending regular creative calls with our writers and partners, informing them of key activity and supporting on any catalogue development initiatives
* Developing and maintaining a continually evolving suite of playlists, both tailored to client needs and industry trends, and showcasing our full catalogue in an easily digestible format
* Contribute to marketing initiatives across all Nightjar digital platforms and comms channels, including: updating our social media accounts with pertinent information on releases, current work and with engaging, relevant soundbites; creating content for and delivering our monthly client mailer and hosting client events/developing showcase opportunities for our artists
* Attend industry events, socials and participate in panels
