Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Trade Counter Person. The ideal candidate will assist customers at the trade counter, providing exceptional service, ensuring product availability, and maintaining the smooth operation of the counter during Saturdays and holiday cover.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist customers with their orders, provide product information, and process transactions accurately.
• Handle cash and card payments and operate the till.
• Ensure the trade counter area is organized, clean, and well-stocked.
• Answer customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
• Provide excellent customer service, offering advice and solutions to trade-related queries.
• Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and ensure the workplace remains compliant with company policies.
Key Requirements:
• Previous customer service or trade counter experience is preferred but not essential.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with tills/cash handling.
• Flexible and reliable, with the ability to cover holiday shifts as needed.
• Enthusiastic, with a proactive approach to work.
• Ability to lift and move stock when required.
