A privately owned commercial property and construction business based in Wolverhampton are looking to appoint a new Design Coordinator.
The role:
1. Key Responsibilities:
1. Design Coordination:
+ Coordinate design activities between architects, engineers and contractors.
+ Ensure timely delivery of design information.
+ Monitor design programmes and highlight potential delays.
2. Documentation Management:
+ Maintain design registers and technical submittals.
+ Track and manage RFIs.
+ Oversee drawing distribution and version control.
3. Project Delivery:
+ Organise and minute design team meetings.
+ Maintain action logs and chase outstanding items.
+ Liaise with the wider project team.
4. Technical Requirements:
+ Review drawings and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit and preferably Navisworks.
+ Ensure compliance with building regulations.
+ Undertake regular quality checks on design deliverables.
Essential Requirements:
1. It is likely you will have previously worked as a Design Coordinator in a similar commercial property environment.
2. Experience in design coordination or similar construction role.
3. Degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Management or related discipline.
4. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and preferably Navisworks.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
6. Sound understanding of UK building regulations and construction methods.
7. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
