Applications are invited from NMC registered adult nurses who wish to train as midwives. This 2-year Masters programme is provided jointly with the University of West London (UWL) and the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
The aim of this course is to prepare safe, competent and confident midwives who can positively contribute to the health of childbearing women, newborn infants, and their families. They will gain the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to meet the future challenges of a rapidly evolving healthcare system. The curriculum reflects contemporary maternity provision, influential political drivers, and current NHS demands. It recognises midwifery as both an art and science, ensuring the development of communication and interpersonal skills, resilience, and emotional intelligence.
