Purpose of the role
Reporting to the CIO, the Senior Delivery Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of business technology solutions projects with specific emphasis on supporting the back office functions business transformation (Finance, Procurement, HR & Payroll).
The role requires the ability to lead colleagues (technology and business) and selected 3rd parties to deliver approved projects on time and within budget to agreed scope.
The successful candidate should have prior experience of implementing ERP solutions with specific emphasis on Finance, Procurement, Operations, Sales and integrations between solutions.
Main responsibilities include:
* Drive and deliver digital transformation technology solutions to agreed budget and timescales.
* In conjunction with PMO, develop a project management methodology applicable to the organizational culture.
* Line-manage and develop the PMO Coordinator.
* Develop and enhance relationships with selected 3rd party implementation partners ensuring cost effective service from delivery partners.
* Identify and prioritize technology and process improvement initiatives to deliver business value and act as lead on development of RFI/RFP for Application Vendor selections.
* Collaborate with Head of IT Services to design the technology service support model of implemented solutions.
What we’re looking for
* Minimum of 5 years project management experience in ERP solutions implementations.
* Direct experience of Finance system implementations ideally project accounting.
* Prior experience of leading a transformational change initiative within an organization across multiple business functions.
* Able to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Managing agreed technology solution projects from conception to delivery.
* Experience with real-time solutions integrations between front and back office.
* Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and services.
* Strong leadership abilities, with gravitas and a proactive approach to decision-making.
* Proven experience in delivery of solutions resulting in business process improvements.
* Exceptional commercial acumen and communication skills.
* Excellent communication skills adaptable to all levels of business colleagues.
* Ability to translate technology solutions to business colleagues.
* Management of 3rd party technology partners to deliver functional development and projects.
Technical Knowledge
* Project management qualification (Prince 2 or PMI) – preferred
* Knowledge of ERP solutions with specific emphasis on Financials.
* Knowledge of HR/Payroll solutions.
* Working knowledge of CRM solutions and integrations to back-office solutions.
