To be successful, you must have QTS/QTLS/PGCE. While these qualifications are preferable, consideration will be given to education professionals with other teaching qualifications. You must have experience teaching English and working with young people in an SEN environment. A passion for the social and emotional wellbeing of children is essential.
Your role will involve planning and delivering lessons tailored to the needs of the school, including MLD and SEN needs related to Social, Emotional, Mental Health. You will work with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver a sequenced curriculum that builds knowledge and skills towards set end points. Monitoring students' progress systematically and effectively, with timely interventions, is also a key responsibility.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 3:30, during term time only. The placement is permanent, beginning in January, with an opportunity to attend a trial week if available.
