Teaching Assistant
Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire (NG24)
Pay: 90 - 105 per day
Role Type: Full-time, long-term to permanent

Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist independent SEN school in Newark. The school provides tailored education for children and young people aged 5-19 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and associated needs. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups under the guidance of teaching staff.
* Implement planned learning activities and adjust approaches to meet individual needs.
* Monitor and record student progress and engagement with learning.
* Support pupils' social and emotional wellbeing.
* Implement behaviour management strategies in the classroom and during off-site activities.
* Help students develop independence and essential life skills.
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a consistent support approach.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A relevant qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
* Prior experience in supporting children/young people with SEN is essential.
* A proactive and patient approach to working with students with additional needs.
