Staff members at BIST enjoy a stimulating, supportive working environment and pay and conditions compare very well with other international schools in the region. BIST net pay scales are above UK net pay scales and this is enhanced with relocation allowances to and from Georgia, an annual air ticket, a health and wellness package, a housing allowance and the opportunity to work and live in a beautiful and fascinating country. BIST is committed to the professional development of our staff and offers an annual CPD allowance. BIST funds CPD that meets the requirements of the School Development Plan both face-to-face and online. In addition, international staff have a US$500 per annum CPD allowance that they can spend on further personal career development CPD that the school would not otherwise fund directly.
BIST students and staff are committed to supporting the wider community through our wide-ranging BIST community programmes. All teachers also support and contribute actively to our cross-curricular days and weeks, our diverse programme of extra-curricular activities, and the PSHE programme. Secondary teachers will be expected to teach their subject to A Level and to prepare students for world class universities.
