The Internal Sales Executive is responsible for maintaining customer service levels while supporting our area sales managers to meet their budgets. This role requires excellent communication and organisational skills and plays a pivotal role in maintaining high levels of customer service and increasing sales across our extensive product range. This role is based in our Oswestry office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Strong team player providing active, hands-on support for the external sales team.
2. Document activities on CRM software, telephone calls, sales calls, opportunities, leads, case studies, faulty goods, order tracking, market and customer information, assigning links to ASM and NSM when required.
3. Process sales orders and deal with customer queries.
4. Strong communication and relationship building with customers.
5. Can-do, positive attitude, dealing with orders and sales enquiries.
6. General sales administration, sales quotations, and sales order entry via an ERP system.
7. Being the point of contact for after-sales/customer service support and liaising with External Sales/Quality department.
8. Effectively communicate market findings and customer insights to the Sales/Marketing Team and management.
9. Identify new business opportunities with existing and new trade partners.
10. Assist in the compilation of sales reports.
11. Assist with marketing campaigns to support brand awareness and business development.
12. Attend sales meetings, conferences, trade exhibitions, and open days as required.
Desired Skills and Experience
1. Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a busy sales/administrative environment.
2. A team player with the ability to work off your own initiative is essential.
3. Experience using ERP and CRM systems and proficient across the Microsoft suite is desirable. Highly collaborative, organised, detail-oriented with a strong ability to multi-task.
4. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with fluency in English, verbal and written essential.
5. Time management and task prioritisation skills.
6. Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
7. A strong working knowledge of the Agriculture/Equine is highly advantageous.
