Reporting Manager Title: Senior Director, Construction Operations, UNCE
Role Context:
Worley is looking to engage a highly motivated and experienced construction expert to join the Construction Function Execution Team as a Construction Director. This role will be responsible for driving successful project outcomes at all project stages starting from Pre-FEED through to FEED, Detail Design, Execution and Commissioning for EPC/EPCM type contracts to support Worley’s continual growth in the Energy market.
You'll be/do:
1. Prioritize the safety, health, and wellbeing of ourselves and others.
2. Manage and deliver large, complex, high-risk multi-million £ projects including engineering, detailed design, procurement, project services, and construction/commissioning activities.
3. Support the Contract/Business Manager in administering contract agreements between Worley and its Client.
4. Administer contract agreements with subcontractors, ensuring costs are managed and interests protected.
5. Liaise with Worley Global Construction Delivery Group to leverage Global Best Practices.
6. Implement Company HSE Policy & Plan and ensure Contractor compliance.
7. Drive the “right to left” delivery model and ensure design input through cross-functional liaison.
8. Ensure Execution plan gate criteria readiness and mitigate execution risks.
9. Manage client relationships and ensure satisfactory reaction to Client’s needs.
10. Monitor and control project performance against budget, schedule, and quality.
11. Prepare regular project progress and cost reports, including Earned Value Analysis.
12. Identify changes in scope of work and ensure appropriate change requests are current.
13. Promote quality and safety on the project.
14. Issue directions for job close-out and secure final project acceptance.
15. Participate in team selection and appointment of key positions.
16. Network with Subject Matter Experts to access innovations in project delivery.
17. Seek opportunities for learning and development.
You'll have:
1. Several years of leadership experience in relevant energy or construction areas.
2. Effective communication skills with stakeholders.
3. Strong commercial acumen and experience in various contracting models.
4. Knowledge of managing subcontracts in the execution phase.
5. Staff management experience.
6. Motivational leadership style and strong communication skills.
7. Attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
8. Demonstrable experience in a similar role or senior position in Construction Management.
9. Extensive knowledge of the construction process.
10. Delivery-focused with commitment to project/company goals.
11. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
12. Full knowledge of project-specific execution strategies.
13. Incident-free mindset and role model for project team.
14. Proven HSSE leadership in managing large complex onshore projects.
15. Understanding of project scope integration for successful outcomes.
