Design Manager – Bristol
Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP is an Independent Commercial Property Consultant; We provide a comprehensive service covering all aspects of Commercial Property located throughout the UK with an established reputation for our specialist knowledge nationwide and all facets of the commercial property market.
Hartnell Taylor Cook has a position available in our Bristol office for an experienced Design Manager (CAD Designer) to join the team. The EV & Retailer Projects Department is going through an exciting period of growth, and as such we are looking for a motivated and practical individual to Manage and Supply the design of these projects. Primarily focused on Electrical Vehicle Charging Installations, Petrol Forecourts & Retail outlets, we have been awarded substantial works for the coming years. You will be responsible for meeting clients on varying sites to discuss their needs and define the scope of work. The drawing proposal would be created from an existing DWG, and the process managed through to design completion, at which point it is passed to the construction team.
Key responsibilities:
* Attend site scoping meetings with the client, to understand their requirements ahead of creating their design on a proposed site plan (A suitable introduction and phased hand-over of works would be provided)
* Produce Site Drawings from Proposals through to as-builts.
* Coordinate the design with customers, suppliers, and manage key stakeholder relationships.
* Mange the full design process and put forward to management, identify and areas for streamlining
Skills and Experience:
* Demonstrate 5 years’ experience of Auto-CAD, providing 2D site plans and have had experience in the wider construction industry.
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
* Strong understanding of general construction practices.
* Excellent organisation and time management skills.
* Willingness to travel to sites across the UK.
* Hold a full UK driving licence.
