We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to the role of Ward Receptionist within our Paediatric Patient Services team at part time hours to provide a high level administrative service to all patients and staff within the Sunrise Neonatal Unit. The weekly hours for this role are:
* Monday: 4:00 - 8:00pm
* Tuesday: 4:00 - 8:00pm
* Wednesday: 4:00 - 8:00pm
* Thursday: 4:00 - 8:00pm
These shifts enable the administrative function to provide a full and robust support service to the clinicians on the units in liaison with other members of the team. This role will not typically include working on bank holidays, but any that may fall on your working day would be counted as working days with an additional day AL provided during the year.

The ward receptionist is a key role within the paediatric administrative function for a number of reasons. This includes being the first point of contact for all visitors to our Sunrise Neonatal Unit, maintaining all administrative functions and databases, assisting with queries from patients and visitors and escalating to clinical staffing as appropriate, and maintaining patient records as required.
This role sits within the Patient Services function of the Children’s Admin service, and the postholder will work a set rota pattern in this role agreed with the service. Uniform will be provided to the postholder and the successful candidate will report directly to our Neonatal Data Quality Manager, who will act as the first line for any and all queries.
The successful postholder must have good IT & communicational skills, and be able to deal with changing priorities and workloads, and be able to work both autonomously and as part of a wider team. Cross-cover may be required, and all administrative staff are trained to be able to work in all ward areas as required.
