Duties of the Occupational Therapist:
* Provide direction to Band 5 OT colleagues on site.
* Oversee and deliver high quality evidence-based practice and embed the Occupational Therapy process within the clinical area.
* Undertake occupation-focused assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment for service users.
* Support in the assessment and discharge planning of patients from our wards.
* Driving will be an essential duty of the job to facilitate home assessment and effective discharge planning.
* Contribute to and participate in multi-disciplinary team assessment and formulation, providing specialist occupation-based advice.
* Participate/lead on developments within the service by using outcome measures and engaging in Quality Improvement projects.
* Monitor the practice of junior staff and learners, identifying any learning and development needs.
* Attend the monthly AHP team meetings.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
* Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
* Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
* Recent NHS experience.
* Registered with the HCPC.
