Our Team
The Social Impact team plays for a better tomorrow through strategic investment of EA’s resources–people, products, philanthropy, and partnerships–to make a positive impact in the communities where we live, work, and play. We create value for the enterprise and strengthen EA’s brand by closing the opportunity gap in STEAM education and building connected communities where everyone can thrive. We design and amplify high-value, equitable programmes and experiences in and around EA’s games to enable employees and players around the world to inspire the next generation.
Reporting to the Head of Global Social Impact, you will work with leaders across the enterprise and studios to help implement the vision for EA’s Social Impact strategy. You will help grow the function, pillars, and programmes to provide shared value for the EA ecosystem: employees, players, creators, fans, community partners, industry collaborators, regulators and policymakers, and investors. You will build relationships with mission-driven nonprofit organisations and charities to activate all our levers for change and bring the best of EA to inspire the world to play. As a strategic partner with the business, you will have the opportunity to level up our social impact work.
You will:
1. As an integrated partner with studios and franchise teams, drive both strategy and execution aligned to EA’s brand, values, and priorities.
2. Develop and scale a variety of volunteer and giving experiences that foster employee and community engagement and align to EA’s broader DEI approach.
3. Build meaningful experiences for our players and fans with activations in and around games that advance enterprise and studio/franchise goals and align to company milestones and tentpole moments.
4. Identify strategic charitable giving opportunities and develop partnership plans that help unlock impact at scale across global locations, especially in the UK and Europe.
5. Work cross-functionally, to develop compelling stories and purpose content that highlight EA’s social impact and ESG commitments and progress.
6. Develop the goals, plans, and assessment frameworks to measure our impact, and manage the ongoing delivery of metrics that demonstrate both social and business value and support the enterprise ESG narrative and annual report.
7. Monitor best practices and social impact trends to provide insights and benchmarking about local/regional/global community investment opportunities and identify new opportunities.
Qualifications:
8. Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field plus proven professional experience working at a Senior level in corporate social responsibility, social impact, or ESG.
9. Expert in building and growing a portfolio of programmes with creative ideas around employee volunteerism, corporate philanthropy, charitable product activations, and mission-driven partnerships.
10. Global perspective and experience working in a complex corporate structure and decentralised teams.
11. Knowledge of trends, social impact policies, and charitable landscape in the UK and Europe, particularly in STEAM education, community investment, and social and DEI issues.
12. Passion for creating positive change with and for communities and helping social impact be a competitive advantage and brand-builder for us.
13. Great project management skills.
14. Experience in administration of employee giving and volunteer management platforms (e.g., Benevity, YourCause, Deed, Bonteerra, Submittable, Bright Funds).
