Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 31 year old man living in the Treforest area with my parents. I am a very joyful person and enjoy all things performance and animal related. I recently took part in a show about the history of the Rhondda and this was a big success with everyone who attended.
I have a massive love for all animals and very much enjoy zoos and petting farms. In the house we have a dog and we have some chickens that I tend to.
I have a diagnosis of Autism, learning difficulties and anxiety disorder.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the PA is to support me to go out into the community and take part in social activities away from my parents.
HOURS OF WORK
I have 6 hours per week available and these will be worked flexibly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or at the weekend.
RATES OF PAY
£12.30 per hour and 40p per mile where applicable
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
Taking me out into the community and ensuring I am safe while out an about.
Places can include:
Going to zoos or petting farms.
Going to any sort of fair or local fete.
Watching a film in the cinema.
Going out for food.
Shopping in local shops, I especially like bargain shops.
Potentially building up to bigger days out further afield.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Someone who can show initiative and think of new things for us to do together or new places to go.
A person willing to build up a relationship with me.
A driver with business class insurance.
A reliable and punctual person.
Someone who is kind, friendly and outgoing.
Having similar interests would be a bonus.
ABOUT THE JOB
This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
